For my final portfolio, I was asked to create six pieces centered around a theme of my choosing. I chose to expand on a piece I made earlier that was inspired by the Chinese zodiac animals. The Chinese zodiac is comprised of 12 animals. In order, they are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. The zodiac is based on a twelve-year cycle, with each animal representing one year.

The following pieces are of six animals I chose to represent. The elements of each piece are related to that specific animal. Elements were chosen based on characteristics, colors, flowers, and gems that are associated with people born in the year of that zodiac animal.
